There are two ways to use Overleaf with Git.

  • Overleaf's Git integration is a premium feature for Overleaf Cloud users and is also available for Overleaf Server Pro (version 4.0 and later). The Overleaf Git integration allows you to clone your Overleaf project to a local repository, treating your Overleaf project as a remote repository that changes can be pushed to and pulled from.
  • Overleaf GitHub Synchronization is a premium feature for Overleaf Cloud users. The GitHub Synchronization feature allows you to link your Overleaf projects directly to a GitHub repository and keep them in sync.
